9/11 TERRORIST ATTACKS,
FREEMASONRY & BIBLE PROPHECY
Following the catastrophic events on Sept. 11, I was asked by a pastor friend, "What is your perspective on the current 9/11 terrorist attacks in relation to English and French Freemasonry?" Following is my answer.
With few exceptions, current events are difficult to connect directly to either the English or French Masonic conspiracies, since by the very nature of secrecy the researcher is from 30 to 50 years behind in finding hard evidence.
As you recall in volume one of Scarlet and the Beast, chapter 24 completed the historic aspect of the conspiracy with post World War Two Masonic activity. Chapters 25-27 covered the prophetic aspect. Our third edition of Scarlet and the Beast will bring us up to date with current events by expanding existing chapters, and possibly adding one new chapter. We will definitely expand chapters 26-27 to carry us forward on the prophetic role of Europe, Great Britain, and America.
Now, to answer your question at hand, there is evidence to suggest that the 9/11 terrorist networks around the world, if not controlled by Freemasonry itself, have at least mimicked the secret structure of the Masonic Lodge to conceal their activity.
An example of this is documented in volume 3 of Scarlet and the Beast, subtitled, English Freemasonry, Banks, and the Illegal Drug Trade. Chapter 6, entitled "A Freemasonry of Terrorists," addresses Western Europe's plague of homegrown terrorists during the late 1970s through the 1980s. In this chapter I quote portions of an article in The New Yorker (7/08/85), "Terrorists are very difficult, if not impossible to control unless they happen to be fanatically committed to some higher authority. The signs are that the German, French, Italian, and Belgian groups may be creating a freemasonry of terrorists."
By using the word "freemasonry" to lend understanding as to how terrorists operate in the shadows, the article gives the researcher direction in which to investigate. The New Yorker continues, "Among the European countries, Italy harbors the richest variety of terrorist groups. In Rome, they are mostly from the upper class. And some university professors are terrorist leaders. Giovanni Senzani, the last leader of the Red Brigades, was a professor. In France and Germany, terrorism is still elitist. These are all people selected to perform bold missions. They are a continuum of cellular units. There may be a brain — a clever brain — behind it, but the whole is animated by religious passion. Neither the [former] Soviet Union nor any of its client states supports the terrorists in Western Europe."
The phrase, "They are a continuum of cellular units," gives another clue as to who controlled western Europe's terrorists, since "a continuum of cellular units" is precisely the structure set up by Freemasonry to maintain secrecy.
The article continues: "Terrorists naturally think of themselves not as criminals or enemies of society but as political activists, and numerous Europeans have tended to accept at least some of them at their own evaluation. In 1981, the incoming government of France's President Francois Mitterrand granted amnesty to the two leaders of Direct Action, an organization that seemed less threatening than the claims it made of itself. But now Direct Action is a full-blown terrorist group, with fraternal links to more experienced groups, such as Germany's Red Army Faction and Italy's Red Brigades."
Identifying Francois Mitterrand's action of protecting terrorists gives another clue to assist us in determining who controls modern terrorism. Mitterrand, one of the most powerful 33rd degree Masons in the world, is bound by French Constitutional Law to protect all political activists (terrorists) who request a safe haven within French borders. This law was written into the French Constitution following the 1789-1793 French Revolution, a revolution planned and carried out by Freemasonry, as I have confirmed in vol. 1 of Scarlet and the Beast.
In 1988 a documentary on Freemasonry was aired on 60 Minutes and hosted by Dan Rather, himself a Freemason. The documentary was about a little known Masonic order headquartered in Italy, confirming what The New Yorker had already suggested, that Freemasonry was indeed the force behind Western Europe's terrorists. The controlling lodge was Propaganda Duo Masonic Lodge, or P-2 Masonry. Dan Rather attempted to defend the Masonic fraternity by stating that P-2 was "irregular," meaning a lodge formed outside the authority of "regular" Freemasonry. Rather confirmed that P-2 was the "clever brain" behind the terrorist murders in Italy, that the terrorist cells controlled by P-2 were mostly membered by university students, who funded their terrorist activity by trafficking drugs for P-2 and the Italian Mafia.
I must again reiterate the importance of this 60 Minutes program, because P-2 and the Italian Mafia both have their roots in the 1860 Italian Revolution, which was headed by 33rd degree Freemason Joseph Mazzini, who founded the Mafia to fund his Revolution. The modus operandi of the Mafia was to rob banks, extort money, and traffic in illegal drugs. To further protect the Mafia, Mazzini founded a sub-secret lodge within Italian Masonry, named "Propaganda Uno" or P-1 Masonry. Both P-1 and P-2 used terrorism to affect their desired outcome of Italian politics. And both trafficked in illegal drugs to fund their terrorism.
Membership in P-2 was made up of more than nine hundred political, financial, and university elitists throughout Europe, Vatican City, and the Americas. Those few names that surfaced in the press as members of P-2 were also known members of “regular” Freemasonry.
May 1980 a member of one terrorist group told a Genoese newspaper that in 1978 P-2 financed the Red Brigades to kidnap and ritually murder Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro. At that same time P-2 was heavily involved in a multibillion-dollar "drugs for weapons" deal with the Ayatollah Khomeini's Iran. Before Khomeini deposed the Shah of Iran in 1978, he was protected in France, and funded by French Grand Orient Freemasonry. All this I document in vol. 3 of Scarlet and the Beast.
The importance of The New Yorker article on European terrorism controlled by Western Masonry is its similarity to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network. I will mention 4 points here, and expand on 3 & 4 later.
1. Freemasonry's connection to Islamic revolutionary causes by harboring and funding the Ayatollah Khomeini to take over Iran.
2. Similarity between Italian Freemasonry's P-2 and Osama's al-Qaeda in funding their respective terrorist activity. Both traffic in illegal drugs. In fact, the only cash crop in Afghanistan (winter 2001) is poppy, from which heroin is processed. One of the first acts of Osama against Afghanistan was the destruction and banning of all crops, except poppy.
3. Similarity between Osama's al-Qaeda network and Western Europe's P-2 terrorists is its membership. The European terrorist and the Taliban are both made up of students.
4. Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network is structured identical to the "continuum of cellular units" of Freemasonry.
Modern terrorism also sheds light on prophetic Scripture as to the possible root cause of a variety of violent acts during the 7-year Tribulation, some of which have cosmic impact. The Bible refers to these terrorist acts as “judgments.” The final judgment is meted out by Jesus Christ Himself, and is specifically prophesied against Israel and all the armies of the world gathered at Armageddon. However, one isolated act of terror precedes Armageddon, and is specifically prophesied against the Beast Empire, which I document in Scarlet and the Beast is the United States of America. This terrorist blow will have national impact; will take place during the second half of the Tribulation, preceding Christ's second "parousia" coming at Armageddon. I shall return to this later.
To reiterate your question, "What is your [my] perspective on the current 9/11 terrorist attacks in relation to English and French Freemasonry?" My answer (briefly discussed in 1-4 above) has five parts:
Part 1: Overview of the Masonic conspiracy.
Part 2: Pyramid structure of Freemasonry.
Part 3: Pyramid structure of the al-Qaeda.
Part 4: Modern terrorism & Bible prophecy.
Part 5: Christ's warning to His Church
Part 1: Overview of the Masonic conspiracy. The embryo of modern Masonic conspiracies in the western world began in 496 A.D. when the Merovingian dynasty was founded in Western Europe. The Merovingians blasphemously claimed to be the Jewish offspring of Mary Magdalene and Jesus Christ. This clan not only gained control of the Vatican, its offspring for the next 500 years sat on nearly every throne in Europe.
Toward the end of the 11th century, the Merovingian dynasty schemed to establish its counterfeit claim to the throne of David at Jerusalem. The Crusades were instigated by the Merovingian kings as the vehicle to transport their royal clan to David’s throne.
Shortly after arriving in Jerusalem the Merovingians founded the Priory of Sion, a secret order given the mandate to progress the political and religious cause of the Merovingians. At the turn of the 12th century Sion founded the Knights Templar as its protector. The name Templar was derived from the Temple Mount upon which the Knights quartered.
Within a few decades the Templars undermined Sion's political control of the Holy Land, and through conspiracy and intrigue, "lost" Jerusalem to the Arabs. The Knights Templar returned to Europe with great wealth, reported to have been Solomon’s gold found beneath the Temple Mount.
During the next two centuries it appeared Sion and the Templars had gone separate ways. That was not the case, however. Sion was plotting to infiltrate the Templars, confiscate their gold and deliver it to the Merovigians, who claimed ownership to the treasure through the line of David. To accomplish this task, Sion founded the Order of the Rose Croix, better known as the Rosicrucians.
As the Merovingians gained control of European thrones, the Knights Templar established a banking system at Paris. On the French throne sat Philip the Fair, a Merovingian, who carried out nearly three decades of persecution against the Templars. In 1314, Philip had Jacques DeMolay, the last Grand Master of the Templars, burned at the stake. A slaughter of the Templars followed, supposedly annihilating the Order. Templar wealth, however, eluded King Philip.
Unbeknownst to Sion and the Merovingians, a remnant of Templars had fled to Scotland, where Robert the Bruce ruled. (From Robert’s daughter would emerge the famed Stuart dynasty). King Robert acquired the Templars as his military arm and secret service. Thereafter, it was required of every Scottish king to receive Templar initiation. In fact, Robert was so influenced by the history of the Templars that in his later years he longed to go to the Holy Land to fight against the Mohammedans, who were again in possession of the Sepulcher of Christ.
Three centuries after the Templars fled to Scotland, the Templars and King James Stuart VI left Scotland for London. The year was 1603. Childless Queen Elisabeth had appointed James to reign over England after her death. In route to London, James and his Templar bodyguard quartered in northern England’s workingman lodges at York. While there they attached Templar rituals to the existing three degrees of the York lodges and the esoteric York Rite of Templar Masonry was born. After arriving in London, James VI was crowned James I. He is the same James who in 1611 authorized the King James Version of the Bible.
Shortly before this English translation of the Bible, the Priory of Sion discovered that a Templar king sat on the English throne. Cloaked with the name Rosicrucian, Sion made haste to cross the English Channel, and through intrigue renewed its battle against the Templars. Upon arriving on the southern shores of England, Sion quartered in workingman lodges and there attached its rituals to the three degrees of those lodges, and the esoteric Rosicrucian Rite of Masonry was born.
Shortly thereafter, conflict between Sion and the Templars convulsed England in civil war. This off and on conflict for control of the English throne began in 1641 and lasted throughout most of the latter half of the 17th century, ending with The Glorious Revolution of 1688, with Sion's Rosicrucian Order the clear winner. Meanwhile, Rosicrucian Masonry in England acquired the prefix "free" (Freemasonry) to describe the freedom won by the English workingmen; that is, freedom to own property and participate in government.
In 1707, when the Act of Union provided for unification of England and Scotland to be governed under one parliament, Great Britain became the official name for the united kingdoms. In 1717 Sion's Rosicrucians founded English Grand Lodge of Freemasonry, and exiled the Stuarts and their Scottish Templar Masonry to Paris, France. In 1725 the Stuarts founded French Templar Masonry, and by 1755 it had become the Scottish Rite of Templar Masonry, with 32 degrees.
During the next decade, a revolutionary society in Germany (Order of the Perfectiblists) was organized. The Perfectiblists became the Illuminati on May 1, 1776. In 1782 the Illuminati infiltrated French Masonry, and began adding fuel to the already smoldering revolution, which ignited in 1789. By the end of 1793 French workingmen had won their freedom to participate in government. Thereafter, French Masonry became known as the Scottish Rite of French Freemasonry. The Napoleonic Wars that followed continued the struggle between Sion (English Freemasonry) and the Templars (French Freemasonry).
From 1730 until the end of the American Revolution, both the English and the French forms of Freemasonry had established lodges throughout the 13 colonies. The American Revolution was simply another conflict between Sion and the Templars, with the latter winning the Revolution for the American Colonies. From then until now, both the Scottish Rite and the York Rite of Templar Freemasonry have been headquartered in America. In 1801, nine Masons in Charleston, South Carolina created the 33rd and final controlling degree for the Scottish Rite. To this day, Charleston, which is located on the 33rd degree parallel, remains headquarters for universal Freemasonry, with its secretariat located in Washington, D.C.
War between Sion and the Templars continued through World War One. The League of Nations was the first attempt to reunite them. However, with the League’s constitution secretly constructed in French Lodges, and its headquarters on French soil, the first attempt failed. Another world war and another attempt at world government was required before both would cooperate. In 1945, under the banner of the United Nations, headquartered on neutral ground, Sion and the Temple finally clasped hands to bring peace on earth. Today, the UN continues to strive for world peace through world government, controlled by one economy, one currency, and one deistic religion.
As you know, the first 24 chapters of Scarlet and the Beast, vol. 1, document all the above. Chapters 25 through 27 discuss Holy Scripture’s prophetic aspect of this struggle. This entire book (946 pp.) can now be read on our website at www.scarletandthebeast.com.
Part 2: Pyramid structure of Freemasonry. Before you read any further, take a $1 bill and lay it down with the backside facing up. I shall now be more specific as to how the current network of eastern terrorism is identical to conspiratorial and revolutionary Western Freemasonry.
We begin with the Illuminati founded by Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776. Weishaupt, a professor at Ingolstadt University in Germany, chose the color red to represent the bloody revolutions he and his Illuminati would foment. To demonstrate the type of world government Weishaupt envisioned, all communist countries since have adopted May 1st as their national holiday, have selected red as their national colors, and have declared atheism their national dogma. Weishaupt’s Illuminati also gave the two warring Masonic orders their pyramid structure, from which structure the al-Qaeda likewise patterned its network.
Prior to founding the Illuminati, Weishaupt's first conspirators were university students. To maintain secrecy, Weishaupt organized his students into a continuum of cellular units of three students each. The third student in a lower cell knew the fist student in the higher cell. And so it went until the symbolic base of the pyramid was complete. Hovering above the base was a triangular sun-rayed capstone, which represented the trinity of the revolution; Weishaupt and his two closest associates.
With his structure of “a continuum of cellular units” complete, Weishaupt sent secret revolutionary orders down the pyramid to the base, and received secret reports upward. In 1787, two years before the bloody French Revolution exploded, one of Weishaupt’s two closest associates became disgruntled and exposed the Illuminati by publishing its membership of two thousand. Names on the list included some of the founding fathers of the United States of America. In fact, 15 Illuminati lodges had been established on American soil by 1786.
Ten years earlier (July 4, 1776) the Illuminati Seal became one-half the national emblem of the U.S.A. Now, look at the backside of your $1.00 bill. Both the Illuminati pyramid and Flying Eagle together make up "The Great Seal of the United States of America."
Meanwhile, before the 1787 exposure of the Illuminati, Weishaupt's “students” had infiltrated French Masonry and ignited the unquenchable flame of revolution. The last year of the revolution ended with literal rivers of blood flowing through the streets, as two million French citizens lost their heads to the guillotine. This catastrophe became known as the Reign of Terror, from which was coined the word “terrorism” in 1795.
Following the French Revolution, protection of "political activists" (a euphemism for terrorist) was included in the French Constitution and remains to this day. Forty years following the Revolution, Italian Masonry followed Weishaupt's pattern and founded the secular youth corps of Masonry consisting of 16 to 20-year-old males. Appropriately named "Young Societies," this secular youth corps was established in every nation in Europe, Africa, America, and Asia.
The terrorist aspect of the secular youth corps is readily recognized in 19th century Russia, where members of Young Russia and the Nihilists Party were nearly identical. Likewise, Young America was established in 1852 and led by Freemason John Brown. This group of abolitionist is credited with triggering our Civil War. As you recall our Civil War history, John Brown, leading a band of abolitionist, reined terror across the newly formed territories of Kansas and Nebraska. At his side were Young America students.
Sixty-two years later it was Freemasonry's secular Young Serbia students who assassinated Archduke Ferdinand, which triggered World War One in 1914. Young Egypt was founded after the war. Prior to the war, a young Gamal Abdel Nasser, who later became President of Egypt, joined secular Young Egypt.
In retaliation against secular Young Egypt, Islamic fundamentalists in Egypt founded their own secret society — the Muslim Brotherhood. (See Picture Appendix, Section 11, The “Secret Society” behind Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda).
In October of 2002 we witnessed the political power of the Muslim Brotherhood in forcing an apology from Jerry Falwell. The New York Times INTERNATIONAL, (10/14/02), p. A9, reported that Rev. Falwell angered Muslims with his comment that “the Prophet Muhammad was a terrorist.” This set off Hindu-Muslim clashes in India that left at least nine people dead. Falwell apologized, saying he meant no disrespect to “any sincere, law-abiding Muslim.” Mamoun Hudaibi, spokesman for Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, said it was unacceptable to insult Muhammad and welcomed Falwell’s apology.
Who conceptualized and founded Al-Qaeda? Not until recently was it discovered that a Dr. Abdullah Azzam, a Palestinian-Jordanian ideologue, born in 1941 to a Muslim family in northern Palestine, conceptualized Al-Qaeda in 1987. As a young man Azzam joined the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood. Later he became a stalwart of its Jordanian chapter, and then moved to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, Osama bin-Laden was taught Islamic studies by Muhammad Qutb, whose brother was Sayyid, an ideologue of the Muslim Brotherhood. Upon graduation, Qutb sent Osama to Afghanistan, where he was introduced to, and fell under the influence of Dr. Abdullah Azzam. As Azzam mentored Osama, both men together ran the Afghan Service Bureau through a network of offices (including thirty in United States cities), which combined disseminated their propaganda, raised funds, and recruited new Al-Qaeda members. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Al-Qaeda membership was predominantly recruited from the Muslim Brotherhood.
A prime example of this fact is recorded in TIME Magazine in “Architect of Terror,” (3/10/03), p.24. The recently captured Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the architect of 9/11, who became the “third man” upon the death of Mohammed Atef, “was committed to Islam from an early age. The son of a devout Pakistani living in Kuwait, he joined the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood as a young man.”
On March 20, 2003, as our military was advancing on Baghdad, FOX NEWS reported: “The riots against the war by young Muslims in Yemen was sponsored and promoted by the Muslim Brotherhood.”
Part 3: Cellular pyramid structure of Adam Weishaupt’s Illuminati compared with the cellular structure of Al-Qaeda and its student membership. TIME magazine’s “Special Report,” (11/12/01), p. 74, "What Makes Youths Volunteer?" TIME confirms that the Taliban volunteers are "devout Muslims, often university students." The nineteen attackers of America on Sept. 11 were registered students in France, Spain, Germany, England, and the U.S.A. This student pattern of the Taliban was taken from Adam Weishaupt’s German students in 1765, which were trained in Illuminati terrorist camps in Germany to foment the French Revolution of 1789. Taliban means “students.” And as did the base of Weishaupt’s Illuminati pyramid consisted of student “cells,” so too does the Al-Qaeda al-Sulbah, which means “The Solid Base” of the pyramid. And like the self-contained cells in Illuminated Freemasonry’s pyramid, Al-Qaeda cells are likewise self-contained. Hence, any cell plucked within the Muslim Brotherhood and its Al-Qaeda creation would not affect the whole. Such a cellular structure is resistant to intelligence service penetration.
TIME "Special Report", pp. 58-81, states that Osama's elite Taliban is called "The Takfir." CNN reported in a documentary (aired at least twice in Dec. 2001 and again in Jan 2002) that “each Takfir knows only two other Takfir, the one immediately above him and below him.” Likewise, the top three-man cell of the Takfir is made up of Osama bin Laden and his two mullahs sitting cross-legged. In the background there appears to be a triangle-shaped mound of dirt, suggestive of the Illuminati pyramid.
With a pyramid structure of a continuum of cellular units, it is near impossible to dismantle the Taliban/Takfir by capture and interrogation, since each Takfir killed or not yet apprehended breaks the link of cellular units, thus halting the investigation required for a complete demolition of the al-Qaeda.
In America, members of the Takfir live together in groups of two. As a cover, they drink alcohol, eat during Ramadan, and become smart dressers and ladies men. Some won't worship with other Muslims, instead will go to church, all in the name of Allah to plot destruction against our society. The Takfir are so secret that even their families were shocked when they heard their sons were killed by US bombs in Afghanistan. They thought their sons had gone to Pakistan for humanitarian work. TIME (11/12/01) writes, "For law-enforcement officials, the Takfir connection is terrible news."
The Shriners
Humanitarian Temple of Islam in Freemasonry
Shriners (short for The Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine), is Freemasonry’s similarity to Islam’s al-Qaeda.
Shriners exist only in America. Their influence over our government is found in the fact that only two parades are allowed down Pennsylvania Ave., the quadrennial Inaugural Parade and the annual Shriners’ Parade.
Prior to 9/11 you had to be a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason or a 13th degree York Rite Mason to become a Shriner. After 9/11, when the Shriners were exposed as an Arabic Order, they experienced a mass exodus. For survival, the Shrine has opened its membership to the unenlightened Blue Lodge Masons (3rd degree).
The FEZ
You may have seen Shriners stand on street corners collecting money for their Children’s Hospitals, or riding in little cars in 4th of July parades. On their heads are funny red hats called fezes, on which are embroidered the stylized golden Muslim moon and star of Ramadan.
The history of the Fez is tied to an event that occurred at the turn of the first millennium, and is enlightening to our topic at hand - terrorism! In Morocco was a city named Fez, heavily populated by Christians. Fez was well known for manufacturing a white head covering called “tashboosh,” which was worn by Muslim students attending a great school in that city. Later the tashboosh became a mark of scholarship.
In the year 980 A.D. Muslim hordes overran the city of Fez, shouting, “There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet.” More than 50,000 Christians, including women and children, were butchered. The streets literally ran red with the blood of these martyrs. As a testimony to Allah, the Muslim terrorists dipped their white caps in the blood of their victims. Thereafter, the city manufactured the Muslim caps, dyed them red, and named them after the city.
Today, Shriners wear the red fez to commemorate the bloody slaughter of Christians, although most of these festive men may be ignorant of this fact.
The Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine is the non-profit fundraising arm for both the Scottish Rite and York Rite of Templar Freemasonry. Donations come from the unenlightened (meaning non-Masons)!
Al-Qaeda has likewise set up charitable fundraising organizations to which the "unenlightened" can contribute toward “humanitarian work in the Promised Land.” American donors to the Promise Land Fund probably have no clue their contributions are earmarked to either fund terrorism, or support families of suicide bombers.
Since charitable organizations are non-profit, both the Shriners and al-Qaeda are exempt from government audits, unless there is suspicion of impropriety. Beginning in Dec. 2001, there was such suspicion against several al-Qaeda nonprofit organizations in America, resulting in them being shut down by our federal government, and their assets frozen?
The final connection between the Shriner’s and the al-Qaeda is that both worship the same god. For example, the Shriners' Oath, reprinted in Scarlet and the Beast, vol. 1, pp. 777-781, reads with these terrorist words: "binding myself under a no less penalty than that of having my eyeballs pierced to the center with a sharp, three-edged blade.... etc., etc., so help me Allah, The God of Arab, Moslem, and Mohammedan, the God of our fathers."
Part 4: Modern terrorism & Bible prophecy. Bible prophecy explains many conditions that will lead up to the seven-year Tribulation. I will mention only four.
Condition 1: an increase of knowledge and travel (Daniel 12:4).
Condition 2: wars and rumors of wars, famines, diseases,
earthquakes (Matt. 24:6-7).
Condition 3: Christians will be hated in every nation (Matt. 24:9).
Condition 4: Multiculturalism will segregate people (Daniel 2:40-43).
Prophetic conditions 1 & 2 are common history within the 20th century and require no further explanation. Prophetic conditions 3 & 4 shed additional light on what is behind the 9/11 attacks, and refer more specifically to the United States of America. Therefore, I will only expand on conditions 3 and 4 of Part 4.
Part 4, Condition 3: Christians will be hated in every nation (Matt. 24:9). To the world at large, America is known as a Christian nation. Why? I believe the answer is found in a survey conducted in 1975 by the Christian and Missionary Alliance and reported at its annual Council that same year. It states, "The greatest missionary movement of all time has been sustained by the United States of America, whose churches have either traditionally sent or supported 95 percent of the world's missionaries."
Since America is considered a Christian nation, those nations that hate Christianity must also hate America. That is why Christians today are persecuted around the world like never before. The reason we don't hear of it is that our secular national news media refuse to report it. Yet, local media reports it. For example, in the “Religion” section of the Longview News-Journal (1/26/02) p. 1D, an article entitled “The Voice of the Martyrs, we read “…more Christians have died [as martyrs] in the 20th century alone than throughout [all Church] history.”
Since the 9/11 attacks on America, Muslim persecution of Christians has dramatically increased. Arab World Ministries of Upper Darby, PA has well documented this fact. Likewise, The Good Word from “Words for Living Ministries,” (Marion, KY) Dec. 2001/Jan. 2002, states, “One sad result of the 11 Sept. attacks has been a marked increase in persecution of Christians by Muslims around the world. From Israel to Afghanistan, Muslims rejoiced at the news of the murders of thousands of innocent Americans, dancing in the streets, firing guns into the air and buying T-shirts with the blazing World Trade Center on them. But with their celebrating has come a resurgence of their hatred for Christians, and an increase in the already-terrible levels of violent persecution. Gary Lane of Voice of the Martyrs reports increases in Muslim torture, rape, murder and enslavement of Christians in poor countries, especially in places like Nigeria, Indonesia and Sudan, even as American churches invite Muslim clerics into their pulpits to present Islam as a religion of tolerance and peace.”
The Good Word (April/May 2002) reports, “In…Saudi Arabia there is no religious freedom, not for the Saudis, nor for the 6,000,000 foreigners working there. In January 2002, three Ethiopian Christians were ordered deported for their Christian faith; but first they were confined in the Bremen Deportation Prison and brutalized. They were suspended by chains while being flogged with a flexible metal cable, kicked and beaten with various objects. After the torture, when they arrived at the prison hospital for treatment, they were slapped by medical personnel, turned away, and told to ‘come back here only after you are dead.’
“In Sudan, the Muslim government in Khartoum continues its systematic genocide, killing, raping and enslaving its own black Christians. In multiple instances, black women are asked, ‘Are you Muslim or Christian?’ Those who answer ‘Christian’ are gang-raped, their breast butchered off, and left slowly to die. In October, the ‘holy war’ was reaffirmed by Sudan’s First Vice President Ali Osman Taha: ‘The jihad is our way, we will not abandon it, and will keep its banner high.’”
Christian persecution is not exclusive to Muslim nations. The Good Word reports, “Communist North Korea is arguably the most cruel, oppressive government on earth today. In a human rights vacuum the populace literally starves, while the atheist dictatorship lives in opulence and spends billions on its armed forces. A German physician who worked for 18 months in North Korea, before being expelled for speaking the truth, says that Christians are particular targets for government cruelty there, where they are routinely starved, worked to death, and used as lab animals for medical experimentation.”
Part 4, Condition 4: Multiculturalism will segregate people (Daniel 2:40-43). A mixture of people groups is one of many prophetic signs that lead up to the “end times.” In U.S. News & World Report (12/03/01), p. 49, we read, "Multiculturalism, the unofficial religion of the chatterers, looks very different since September 11. So does the identity politics that downgrades assimilation and common values. 'Being an American means nothing to me,' an eighth grader at a Muslim school told The Washington Post. 'I'm not even proud of telling my cousins in Pakistan that I'm American.' This kind of comment echoes the multicultural playbook. Diversity curriculums routinely depict the United States as a sort of game board on which different 'peoples' (not the American people) work out their tribal destinies, with no particular allegiance to the nation as a whole." TIME (11/12/01), p. 74, in the article entitled, "What Makes Youths Volunteer?" confirms that multiculturalism affects England as well, "The jihad volunteers are mostly from first-generation British families who feel oppressed by the stresses of biculturalism."
In Daniel chapter 2 we find end-times multiculturalism prophesied in Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Pastor, you know the story, so I need not go into detail, except to explain verses 40-43, which speaks to the diverse people groups that Daniel saw when he interpreted the king's dream. These various groups actually made up the population of ancient Rome 500 years after Daniel's prophecy. And it is my understanding of this Scripture that similar diverse people groups will make up revived Rome of the last days. I document this in Scarlet and the Beast, vol. 1, chapters 25-27, and in the videotape, Empire of the Beast. Both are in your possession. As you recall, I confirm 14 areas in which the history of America mirrors that of ancient Rome. I also identify America as the “little horn” of Dan. 7:8. For example, horn in the original text is literally “a mountain peak with a ray of light.” Figuratively it means a “power.” The “eyes” inside the “little horn” are not plural, but one singular “eye” (Strong’s Concordance [KJV] #5870; corresponding to #5869).

is what the prophet Daniel saw when he described the end-time “Little Horn” in Dan. 7:8
Emperor Constantine made the spread eagle double-headed, looking east and west to represent both his eastern and western empires. With this, and many other evidences in Scripture, I contend that the U.S.A. is the “little horn” — referred to by Bible prophecy scholars as the Revived Roman Empire prophesied in Daniel and Revelation.
Daniel 2:40-43 is another powerful example for confirming America’s end-times role. Verse 43 describes the current multiculturalism in our nation. Although I prefer KJV, the NIV gives a better understanding of end time multiculturalism. Speaking to King Nebuchadnezzar concerning the king's dream, Daniel says of revived Rome of the last days, "And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay."
Multiculturalism is not the only cause for ethnic race division in America. The mixture of world religions within our borders further divides us into Daniel's prophesied "iron mixed with baked clay." In the end it will be Tribulation saints who are hated and persecuted. Why and how? By them refusing to accept the mark of the beast, they will be considered terrorists and will literally lose their heads to the chopping block or guillotine (Rev. 20:4), as did two million unfortunate French citizens during the 1793 "Reign of Terror."
Now, how does "the mark of the beast" relate to modern terrorism and end-time Bible prophecy? Time (10/29/01), p. 68, sheds light on the answer, which I believe is the beginning of a process of "gradualism" that will culminate in the "mark of the beast." The article, entitled "The INS Tightens Up", speaks to the need for the INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) to pull "back the welcome mat," or add "a mammoth electronic database to track the comings and goings of all foreign visitors, such as an information bank."
Once we have "a mammoth electronic database to track" the movement of visitors, it will be a simple step to make the same requirement of our citizenry. Time (11/05/01), p. Y10, describes what I believe is the embryo of the "mark of the beast." Time refers to it as a "Magic Wand", which when waved over the cash register, gas pump, or vending machine, will instantly access your bank account, withdraw funds, and deposit them in the store's account. It's called "Speedpass," smaller than a lipstick and hangs from your key chain. Speedpass is in wide use today on toll roads. Now Speedpass is offered in Timex watches. Notice how each technological advance for buying and selling makes the identification of the buyer easier and faster, thus more acceptable.
The Problem? Speedpass, credit cards, etc., can all be lost or stolen. Therefore, U.S. News & World Report (10/08/01) p. 43 has a better solution. It’s a national identity card called the USID card. The article reads, "Until September 11, we had gone about our daily business, cheek by jowl, as strangers to one another, without thinking much about our shared vulnerability. But now we must. And Larry Ellison, the CEO of Oracle, has helped us with a proposal that we adopt a national identification card, with digitized photograph and thumb-print, and tied to a central database... Would we not feel better when boarding [an airplane] if counterfeit-proof digital ID were required of everyone?"
On Feb. 20, 2002, Reuters reported in an article entitled “Driver’s License may see high-tech makeover,” that “state driver’s licenses are being sized up for a makeover as lawmakers and government agencies look for ways to reduce identity fraud in the wake of September 11.”
The private sector is ahead of our government in reducing identity fraud. Longview News-Journal of Texas (5-4-02) reports a story from Seattle, WA: “At the West Seattle Thriftway, if you touch it, you buy it.” The grocery store has sensors used to scan fingerprints installed at each of its 14 checkout stands. Customers who enroll in the new system place their index finger on a small scanner for identification. Customers then type in their phone number, swipe their debit card through a reader, and presto the pay-by-touch system makes shopping much easier.
By promoting both convenience and physical safety, the majority of Americans, and indeed the world, will one day accept something more sophisticated than Speedpass, or the USID card, or the “makeover” of state driver’s licenses, or the “pay by touch” system. The world will accept an I.D. microchip imbedded under the skin of our right hand or forehead, which will operate in the same manner as the other identifiers.
Such a chip has been in use since the early 1990s. First injected in pets for medical and identification purposes, it soon will be injected in Alzheimer’s patients. It’s called VeriChip, manufactured by Applied Digital. “The chip can provide instant access to a patient’s medical records, which is especially valuable in emergencies... Ultimately the chip could be coupled with global-positioning satellites to locate Alzheimer’s patients who have wandered off, or find kidnapping victims.” VeriChip “is about the size of a grain of rice. It would be injected under a person’s skin, probably in the arm, and could be read only by scanners.” Longview News-Journal (4-02-02) p.6A.

Laurie Zoloff, a bioethicist in San Francisco reports, “The first concern is that it will fall into the hands of an evil and oppressive state. If you’re thoroughly known, then you can be thoroughly controlled, because they’ll know more about you than you want to be known.” (The End Times, Paw Creek Ministries, Charlotte, NC, March/April, 2002)
Bolton, with Applied Digital Solutions, gives his opinion: “I don’t envision a time like that because we live in the USA, freedom of speech, democracy. It’s your choice. You elect to have a chip because it’s gonna provide a benefit to you.”
The End Times magazine asks, “Could the chip ever become mandatory, like an inoculation?”
The answer is a resounding “yes,” because the newest microdot chip is now as small as a grain of sand and is being used in retail stores to track the movement of shelf product. In a June 11, 2003 article “Big Brother Comes To Wal-Mart,” Mary Starrett writes of this micro technology on the website NewsWithViews.com. “Wal-Mart will put Radio Frequency I.D. sensors on shelves stocked with RFID-tagged Gillette products, but they’d rather you didn’t know about it… You might even stop buying Gillette products or…refuse to shop at Wal-Mart.”
Ironically, Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart, and the Marxist-socialist King Camp Gillette, inventor of Gillette razors, were both Freemasons. See Picture Appendix 2, Section 5, Figure 9 on our website.
Starrett continues: “These chips, researched at M.I.T.’s Auto-ID Center are about the size of a grain of sand. Chipsters say the technology will only be used to help retailers keep track of inventory… But privacy-loving consumers question the very concept of a device that sends out radio waves to ‘readers’ that not only identify the article, but where and with whom it’s going. The Big Brother implication of this thing needs little hyping to get your skin crawling.
“Wal-Mart’s putting the pressure on its top 100 suppliers to make sure their inventory is all chipped by the end of next year (2004)… One of the ways they’re planning on convincing you (that the MicroDot chip is OK) is by touting how ‘hassle-free’ returns will be…,” which means that MicroDot will not be deactivated at the point-of-sale, enabling retailers to track your buying habits, then sell this information to telemarketers.
Because technology is available and now acceptable for certain usage, it will be a small step during a national emergency for our government to take Oracle’s central database of national identification (with digitized photograph and thumb-print), add our financial records and our buying habits, then merge it with VeriChip and/or MicroDot.
Such a scenario is prophesied in the book of Revelation (13:16-18). An empire called the “beast” will make us believe it is protecting us from terrorism by causing “all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
Those who refuse the "mark" must have something to hide. Therefore, they must be terrorists! For security sake, the majority of citizens will not protest the beheading of Tribulation saints who refuse to be monitored by this mark.
Finally, in U.S. News & World Report (11/05/01) p. 60, an article entitled "World Wide Weapon. A cyberattack could cripple vital infrastructure from 911 to utilities," reveals our nation’s vulnerability toward acts of terror against our cyber network. Such an attack appears to be prophesied in Scripture as the final blow against America — the Beast Empire. Recorded in Vial #5 of Rv. 16:10-11, it reads: "And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain."
The last phrase "and they gnawed their tongues for pain" can also be translated in Greek (Strong's Concordance) as "mass starvation." And the "darkness" with which America will be engulfed during Vial #5 can be translated from Greek as literal darkness or spiritual darkness, such as "to obscure or blind" or "darkness of error."
"Darkness of error" is obvious for that time, since Vial #5 is not opened until the second half of Tribulation, well after Tribulation saints are beheaded. "Literal darkness" could be triggered by a terrorist cyber attack, which would cause both electrical and cyber darkness 24-hours a day. Such an attack would completely shut down our national computer grid, causing "mass starvation," as prophesied in Vial #5.
How could a cyber attack cause mass starvation? Simply this! Today, everything in America moves by computer, especially those things which sustain life, such as our water supply, food supply, and electricity.
The supply of food in grocery stores and restaurants moves by computer. FACT! Every food store and restaurant carries one week’s supply of food. Every wholesale food distributor carries one month’s supply. When retailers and restaurants order next week's supply, a person with a hand-held computer creates the order. Order information in the hand-held is sent to the wholesaler through computerized phone lines, cable, or Internet. Wholesalers receive the order by computer, "pick" the order by computer, place the order on computerized conveyor belts, and load the order onto trucks. Trucks then transport the order to stores and restaurants, where hand-held computers scan in the order. I could continue how the computerized oil supply that fuels the trucks will also be cut off by the same cyber attack, but you get the point.
Couple the above with the fact that you cannot buy or sell without computer involvement. If you purchase something with a credit card, computers are involved. When you pay cash, computers are still involved, because cash registers operate by computer.
Should a national cyber attack occur, it would shut down all electrical power, causing national food spoilage within 24 hours, requiring by law that the food be thrown away. A restock from farms to food processors to stores and restaurants would take weeks to fulfill, if not months.
During the recent electrical power failure in the northeast and southern Canada, which lasted just under two days, millions of dollars of perishable foods had to be thrown away. You may recall the newspaper headlines on August 15, 2003: “Massive power failure brings fear, frustration. Officials rule out act of terrorism.”
If terrorists had not thought of this before, you can bet they are now calculating how to accomplish this task in the future. Time Magazine, August 25, 2003, suggests the same.
The bigger risk (than the power outage) is a digital attack. Richard Clark, former cyberspace security czar in the Bush Administration, thinks an attack on the electricity-generating system is more likely… He says, “The power grid is controlled by software, so the question is, ‘Is there a way you can get into the control system?’ Clark asks. ‘And, yeah, there is.’
A skilled hacker could disable a network of several (power) plants without ever entering a facility by seizing digital controls at the point where computers meet the infrastructure they run… Much of the information terrorist would need to hack into them is available on the Internet. And since energy deregulation, many companies have adopted common platforms for their computer systems. The control systems often lack rudimentary security, leaving technical specifications and flaws on view to potential attackers.
The Washington Post reported last year that al-Qaeda computers seized in Afghanistan had logged on to sites offering tips for cracking computers that control an electrical system… The risk is that after seeing the havoc of last week’s blackout, plotting a sequel might just prove too tempting for terrorists to resist.
Simply put, this nation operates by computer. A national cyber attack against America by terrorist will instantly shut down all buying and selling, as well as shipping of product. Within a week hunger will set in. Within four to six weeks "mass starvation" — as prophesied in Vial #5.
I suggest Vial #5, as recorded in Rev. 16:10-11, is an accurate prophecy against backslidden America. If wrong, the alternative is more disturbing (maybe for our generation), because it will necessitate powerful America being destroyed by either a natural catastrophe, or by a greater world power before the apocalyptic Beast Empire can dominate!
Part 5: Christ’s warning to His Church. As stated earlier, because most missionaries and missionary funding for the past 200 years have come from America, the world considers the United States a Christian nation. Yet, in many respects today it is difficult to distinguish Christian activity from that of secular activity. The primary difference may be Sunday church attendance by those who brand themselves "Christian," but fail to live sanctified lives. Others may live sanctified lives, yet are shy, intimidated, or fearful to verbally witness. They smugly say, “I’m a silent witness.” Christ says we are “lukewarm.” And our Savior is not pleased with lukewarm Christians.
Following is a current example of fickleness and lukewarmness in America's so-called Christian population. As you know, for two consecutive Sundays following the 9/11 terrorist attack our churches were packed with people who rarely attend. I have no clue how many pastors took advantage of this and preached a salvation or revival message. Not many, because within two weeks the news media reported that our churches returned to normal attendance.
As you recall, when I held the 3-evening conference on the topic of end-time Bible prophecy at your church, I taught that the seven churches in the book of Revelation (chaps. 2-3) are prophecies of the Church Age. I discussed America as being headquarters for both the Philadelphia and the Laodicean church periods. As part of my documentation, I mentioned what God's Spirit did both in and for America, that to date He has never done in or for any other nation. Almighty God gave us three "great awakenings" (1740, 1830, and 1857).
The first Great Awakening evangelized America, preparing His Church for the coming Revolution, at which time 67% of the American population were church-going, Bible-thumping, born-again Christians. Following our Revolution, churches and missionary societies sprang up throughout America and began to send missionaries to foreign lands.
The Second Great Awakening actually had its roots in the Sept. 11th Masonic capture and murder of Capt. William Morgan. Morgan, a Royal Arch Templar Mason, had become a Christian, renounced Freemasonry, and then wrote a book exposing the terrorist oaths administered in the Lodges. According to Masonic law, Morgan paid the penalty with his life. As one Mason put it, “Morgan had taken a voyage on Lake Ontario without float or boat and would never be seen again by any human being.” (Charles Finney on “Freemasonry”, Introduction, p. xxv).

Two years before Morgan’s murder, Charles G. Finney, a Blue Lodge Mason (degrees 1, 2 & 3), received Christ as his Savior, renounced Freemasonry and became an evangelist. Following the Masonic murder of Morgan, Finney included in his altar calls the renunciation of Freemasonry by those lodge members who had bent the knee to accept Christ as Savior and wanted to make Him the Lord of their lives. As a result 2,000 Masonic Lodges were forced to close their doors as 45,000 of the 50,000 registered Masons in America renounced in broad speeches their association with Freemasonry.
By 1830 these newborn Christians founded the “Anti-Masonic Party,” and on that political platform ran Christian candidates for Congress and the White House. The Anti-Masonic Party was in direct opposition to the Jacksonian Democrats, who were controlled by the remaining 5,000 Masons. In 1834 the Anti-Masonic Party merged with the Whigs, which remained in opposition to the Jacksonians. The Republican Party succeeded the Whigs in 1854, and has remained conservative to this day.
As you are aware, all this is documented in our reprint of Charles G. Finney's 1869 book entitled The Character, Claims and Practical Workings of Freemasonry, which can be purchased on our website.
The Third Great Awakening preceded our Civil War by two years and continued beyond. It began in the northeast with a prayer meeting. Soon, around-the-clock prayer meetings swept the northeast, and went down the east coast. The movement of the Holy Spirit was so powerful in New York City that Horace Greeley, the famed newspaper editor and owner of the New York Tribune, sent reporters to cover this unusual phenomenon.
D.L. Moody came to know Christ around this time. In 1860 Moody became a lay preacher. Following the Civil War, evangelism once again exploded from pulpits across our land, led by D.L. Moody. Other great evangelists followed. At the same time the Niagara Bible Conference era began (1875-1909). In a spirit of brotherly love, pastors and laymen from a mix of denominations came to these annual camp meetings to study the Bible. From their discussions we have our modern understanding of eschatology (doctrine of the end-times).
Our nation’s Third Great Awakening has sustained modern history’s greatest missionary movement. Truly, in America is headquartered the prophetic Philadelphia Church Period! And that is why we are known as a Christian Nation.
But alas, this missionary-minded period of church history has been on the wane since the end of World War II, when we laid aside spiritual things in our pursuit of wealth. I believe we are now in the prophesied period of transition from evangelical Philadelphia to lukewarm Laodicea. We have pushed Christ outside the church door. Our Savior stands at the door of the Laodicean church and knocks, pleading, "If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Rev. 3:20 is not a salvation verse. To use it as such is to take it out of context, although many have come to know Christ by it.)
The irony in our Savior's plea to the church of the last days is that He has changed His number for fellowship in Matt. 18:20 from "where two or three are gathered together" to only one person: "If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." How merciful is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, even when we are lukewarm!
The hard facts prophesied against America's Laodicean Christians is that we are so wealthy we are in need of nothing. This Scripture can be translated, "we are in need of no one or no thing," not even in need of our Savior’s fellowship.
What about poor Laodiceans? If we believe wealth is proof of God’s blessing, we pray for God to bless us too. Christ exposes our envy of the rich in Rev. 3:18 ("eyes" in Greek text). He says, “anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see” your “envy (from the jealous side-glance).” And yet, neither the wealthy nor the poor Laodiceans recognize their spiritual condition, because Christ says both are spiritually “blind, and naked.”
One way we reveal our blind nakedness is to blame 9/11 on homosexuals, abortionists, Hollywood, rock stars, and everyone and everything else we self-righteously picket against. But Christ says we are to blame! The byproduct of lukewarm Christianity is an escalation of wickedness! Our intolerance of sin, no matter how legitimate, when forced upon the unregenerate, causes them to hate our Savior and us. Consequently, to protect American citizens against our intolerance, our federal government has passed “hate crime” laws. I predict these laws will increasingly be used against Christians, unless we turn away from our lukewarm and self-righteous Christianity.
If we return to being “hot” Philadelphians, lovingly witnessing instead of picketing, not only will we win many to Christ, our Savior will guarantee our freedom to witness! In Rev. 3:9 Jesus says of those Christians who walk through doors He opens, He Himself will cause the wicked to come and worship before our feet, and will make them to know that He loves us.
Dear brother, I am convinced that the prophesied Laodicean Church Period is headquartered in America. If correct, then it is primarily to the Body of Christ in America that our Savior's rebuke is directed. Although we are blind to our spiritual condition, we do have ears to hear. Christ admonishes us in verse 22, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."
My constant prayer for America, and indeed I believe the only solution for America, is a Fourth Great Awakening in our churches. Please, dear brother, pray with me to this end. If we the church refuse to repent from our lukewarmness, and our hoarding of wealth, and our jealous desire to have wealth, and our worldly living; if we do not anoint our eyes so we can see our spiritual nakedness; if we refuse to put on clothes of righteousness, we may in our lifetime see the fulfillment of Christ's chastisement on this church period and on our nation. The 9/11 terrorist attacks on our soil may be Christ's first rebuke of His lukewarm Church in America.
In the Old Testament, before Israel was taken captive and the nation destroyed, the population had slipped into the same complacent condition. Centuries before, as recorded in Lev. 26:15-16, Moses warned Israel that they would be terrorized and taken captive if they became complacent (lukewarm) toward God’s laws. Christ likewise warns Laodicean Christians, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."
History reveals two ways the Church has been purified: persecution or revival. One way or the other, I believe the Church in America will be purified before Christ’s return to “snatch up” His Church. So, preach revival to the believers, my dear brother.
